Locally Led Action responds to humanitarian emergencies by combining immediate life-saving assistance with local knowledge, community leadership and pathways towards early recovery.

Our work includes: rapid needs assessments; emergency WASH; protection; multipurpose cash and other cash-based assistance where appropriate; emergency shelter and essential support; community-based response; referrals; and early recovery.

Our locally led approach: Affected communities participate in assessments, targeting, response design, monitoring and feedback so that assistance reflects actual priorities rather than externally assumed needs.

This approach is consistent with locally led humanitarian models that combine immediate response with longer-term development and peacebuilding.
